Maricopa County releases final May 17 Mesa Special Election results
The Maricopa County Board of Elections released the final official results
from Mesa's May 17 Special Election today. Final results are:
Proposition 300: Accept or reject City Council's decision to change the
Mesa 2025 General Plan Land Use Map from a land use category of Mixed-Use
Employment to Regional Commercial in the area known as Riverview at Dobson,
allowing for the development of a regional commercial project.

Proposition 301: Accept or reject City Council's decision to rezone 42+/-
acres generally located east of Dobson Road and south of the 202 Freeway
from R1-9 to C-2 BIZ, and from M-1 and R1-9 to C-2; allowing development of
a commercial project, which may include a movie theater, retail shops and
restaurants.

Proposition 302: Accept or reject City Council's decision to rezone 175+/-
acres generally located north from 8th Street to the 202 Freeway and east
from Dobson to Alma School Roads from R1-43 and R1-9 to C-3, M-1 and R1-9
to C-2, and R1-9 to PEP for future commercial and employment park uses.

There are 193,881 registered voters in Mesa, and voter turnout citywide was
27.15 percent. The Mesa City Clerk's Office received a total of 39,530
requests for early ballots for this election. The Mesa City Council will
adopt by resolution the final official results within the next six to 15
days.
